Im There, Not Yet!

Despite having to carry our gear up to the second floor of a convertered old school-school house, last night's show at the Lucas School House was not only the best and nicest venue we've played yet, but from what we heard after the show it was one of the best sounding. It felt like it, everything was just clicking last night I suppose. We haven't practiced in a month, but we've been playing shows every week and really, that's probably the best practice.

The Lucas School House, located in Soulard at Gravois and Allen, is a converted early 19th century schoolhouse. It is set up for banquets and being rented out for events like last night's launch party for www.Imthere.com. We played with a couple other bands for this launch event that was a lot of fun. This place was amazing. Hardwood floors, granite topped tables and bars, leather couches and chairs, a stage that was the perfect size for us and what I was told was the best sounding sound system and live sound engineers that we've played with. Oh, and they have a full size outdoor patio and outdoor bar with sound outside for the bands upstairs. Oh, and the 1st floor has a screen the size of one from the movie theatre that they broadcast the bands from upstairs, downstairs. Yea, it was bad ass. Hopefully we'll get some pictures from the event, but the pics have been in short supply lately...
