The humpty dance is your chance...

Last night was an amazing show! Not only was the bar packed, and I mean packed that yo could barely walk through the place, but we played a great set and had a ton of fun. Stephen Dedalus warmed up the night singing and strumming a handful of songs and even taking requests. He was excellent, but when isn't he? He could have only been rivaled in greatness if Dave Paradise was there playing.

Tim went out and bought a powered mixer, which was the essential piece of equipment we've been missing. With the new mixer and the pa speakers we fixed, we were able to play a live show with our gear. Now Tim has decided to sell some of his equipment he doesn't use anymore and buy more speakers, so we now have a real pa system.

After some tinkering with the pa the show went smashingly. We played almost every song we've written and a handful of covers and we even played an old Silent Q song. It was the most interactive show we've ever played as we had a smattering of guest vocalists and participants on stage with us. Brian "the guns" Gracey did guest vocals on No Name. The owner of the bar came up on stage with us from time to time to crack jokes with us. We had our first encore! We went back up on stage and played an encore for J and Dianna which was awsome because we did a cover and these girls from the bar got up onstage and were dancing with us AND one of them was playing Gary's cowbell! That's right! We had chicks playing the COWBELL onstage!

Now if you are thinking, how can you top having chicks playing the cowbell on stage with you, well that's tough- but we accomodated. Heather said he friend Mikey could do a great version of Digital Underground's song, The Humpty Dance. So Gary and myself gave him a bassline and a drumbeat and he rapped the Humpty Dance! The bar was going crazy! The owner, the hot bartenders, and like a gazillion men and women were dancing around the stage to MC Mikey's performance which was near flawless.

Fear not, those of you who missed last night's show, as my sources are telling me that MC Mikey will be making an appearance with us at the just announced, Friday March 3rd show at Off Broadway! (Our performance was moved from weds the 22nd to March 3rd, a friday- because we rock.)

I think a better name for MC Mikey would be "Stabb Master Arson."
