NJN @ Tower's Pub

I don't know where this place is, but Not Just Noise is playing at Tower's Pub Friday May 27th. What we do know is that it is somewhere on Morganford...that narrows it down. We're playing with another band...whose name eludes me right now...The Reggs, we're playing with The Reggs.

And in even more important news, I just spent like $300 on Tool tickets and it was well worth it.

Tool!

Wholly fuck people, Tool is coming to town June 22nd! It's been 6 years since they've been here. Tool is coming to town and just like Santa Clause, delivering tidings of musical masterpieces and probably dressed up like smurfs or something equally weird. I am there.

Beaten up

Today I passed my Physical Fitness test with St. Louis City Police. I can honestly say it felt really good to finally pass a PT test, since I've had such difficulty in the past. I know for a fact that all the hard work I've put into exercising almost everyday finally paid off. And while it felt incredibly good to achieve this, man...my body feels like it's been put through the ringer. Beaten up as it were.

Leftovers

Well Easter is over we're waiting for Laura to take off to go back to school. It won't be long before she's done with school altogether and can come home for summer. I think we'll be bringing her home in about 3 weeks.

Not much of note going on lately. This thursday I'm going in for my PT test for St. Louis City Police. I'm pretty confident I'll pass. I just wanna get it over with and get on that list.

Tim finally got a job and wouldn't you know it's in Columbia. So that's it for this band. I guess.

People are strange, especially on mondays.

Yes, just like the title says, people are fucking strange on mondays, especially this monday. Case in point:
Exhibit A- The email from the ex-girlfriend.
I got an email forwarded to my myspace from my ex-girlfriend. It was forwarded through this friend of hers who used to hate me, and to be fair I hated her too. This email had to have been typed up while she was drunk, because it looked like it was written by a 3rd grader. Maybe not a 3rd grader, they make at least some use of punctuation. The details are unimportant to anyone except her and I, but the bulk of the email was jambled into 1 big fucking paragraph. I'll be waiting to see if she writes back.

Exhibit B- I played a gig with the treadmill repair man.
That's right. We had a repair guy come to fix out treadmill today, and it turns out he's in a band called Thrownchild. When I told him our band was called Not Just Noise, he was like "oh yea, we played together at that Ten Mile House show a few weeks ago." The funny thing is, Gary and I got there after they left I think, so we never even heard them. I found that weird, just a funny set of circumstances.
[Editor's note: to make the situation even weirder, I got a call from the company who this guy worked for- saying he couldn't make it to the house to fix our treadmill because he was just in an accident. But he had just left our house, I explained to the guy. So he got into an accident after leaving here...weird.]

Exhibit C- The Passion of The Autobot
Optimus Prime is God.
