The Red Rings of Death

So two nights ago Gary's Xbox 360, his launch console that I bought, it gave him the red rings of death. His 360 is very dead. So what does he do? Promptly runs out and buys another, then returns it and buys the more expensive Elite system. That's all well and good, but I told him I can fix his 360. And I will...we will. I have some experience taking apart and working on computers, so I'm not completely inept at this kind of thing. The problem it supposed to be the heat sinks coming loose from the GPU and CPU, so the fix means having to completely disassemble the thing, going so far as even removing the motherboard, and then cleaning and applying new thermal compound to the GPU and CPU. We'll be needing some other bits and pieces we can get from Lowe's or Home Depot, but I'm going to fix his shit.

Oh yea, theres a NJN show at Tower's Pub tonight. Don't ask me where that is, because I don't know yet. This may become the last Not Just Noise show, since Tim is moving to Columbia in like a week.

Cool

Just came across this like 2 days ago. All I can say is, that 60 year old knows how to decapitate someone with the best of 'em.

It's hot, milk was a bad choice.

I thought that was a funny Anchorman qoute and since it was warm today, it came to mind.

So how about those Cardinals? Having your #1 starter out for a few months is really hurting us...and having Kip Wells...and Anthoney Reyes... I feel that Reyes can still be saved, but Kip Wells...send that hack back to Pittsburg. I would have rather had the DreamWeaver back here with his 0-7 record and at least know he threw well for us last year. Kip Wells has always been a lost cause in my opinion. You know your season is in jeopardy when your best started is a former bullpen reliever. Although to his credit, Braden Looper is the one guy who is pitching really well.

This coming weekend NJN has a show at Just Bill's up in Overland. I'm not sure why we decided to go back, maybe because a band specifically requested up to play with them. Irregardless, we'll be there this coming Saturday with some metal bands!

It's raining

Well it's that time of year again, time to move my sister out of her dorm and back home. I'm glad her school year is finally over and she'll be home. I hope it stops raining long enough to get her moved out.

We've added another show in May, this one at Just Bills. As usual you can find more info at www.notjustnoise.com
